12/17 London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Camden Market

Yesterday was another amazing day. We started the day with cereal at the apartment and booked ourselves a morning adventure on the London Eye. Our location could not be better for our stay here in London. On our way to the London Eye we dropped off some postcards which the kids had written for family and friends back home. It was cloudy when we got on the London Eye but cleared up a bit and we were able to see cool parts of London.

Our next stop was pictures in front of Big Ben (or just Ben if your friends) and then we headed to Westminster Abbey. While the older kiddos didn’t love it Ronan was super excited and had lots of questions. It is really lovely and so cool to see and read about the history of the church. We lit candles and sent love to family and friends before starting our short walk back to Trafalgar Square for lunch and more sweets.

After lunch we headed back to the hotel where the kids settled in to watch some TV while mom and dad scrambled to adjust plans as the news of French travel restrictions set in. We made a decision and then headed to Camden Market (Sarah’s awesome recommendation!!). Camden is an old horse stable converted into little shops and stands. We arrived around 6:00 and some things were shutting down but it was really cool to see a different part of London. We found good food and even better desserts (desserts have been a driving force of the trip so far). It was a great evening!

While we are sad our time in London is getting cut short, it was truly a wonderful time. We are going to do our best to enjoy the last day in London before we head off to our next adventure in Ireland. Love and Happiness to All! Mike
