I am sitting here in our hotel in London as all of us journal. Our home for the next two weeks is an apartment hotel (2 bed room with a kitchen) will be our home for the next two weeks it is 2 blocks from Trafalgar Square.
I am tired. The kids are tired but I am so happy to be here. The trip went smoothly and the kids were amazing. Immigration at the UK border was slow (90 minutes in a line with very tired kiddos and parents), but our cab driver was nice and excitement far outweighed any of the fatigue. We landed at 7:45am (1:45am Memphis Time) and finally got to the hotel 10:30 (London Time), and were able to check right in. We all went right to sleep and crashed hard until 2:00pm. We spent the next 3 hours exploring. Right on the river we were able to see Big Ben, the London Eye and enjoy great food vendors on the water.
I am exhausted and ready to go to bed. A great first day in London. Some more pictures from the journey below. More updates tomorrow! Really grateful for the kiddos as they have been amazing travelers and obviously to my dear wife who is leading the adventure. Love and Happiness to all.
