Today we took a boat tour on the River Seine and then ended the day going to the summit of the Eiffel Tower. We ate great food throughout the day and Foster got an awesome light up Eiffel Tower that he has been wanting. Notre Dame is still not open and from what we heard from our tour guide they have not made a decision on what to do with the restoration (only use original methods to rebuild or use modern tech to restore). The kids watched the hunchback of Notre Dame as during our daily afternoon down time. The Eiffel Tower is really cool. We paid for a guided tour which really turned out nice. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and it meant we skipped a bunch of lines. You start by taking a short elevator trip to the 2nd floor of the tower then a longer elevator to the summit. The summit is really cool and really windy. Waverly summed it up well “This was scary, exciting, and windy!”

Elza and I definitely hit a wall today with travel and tourism. We are tired and miss Memphis. It has been hard to balance wanting to do all the things and also being ok with just taking it easy. I am glad Elza is my partner in this. She is wonderful and I am grateful for her. The end of the day was really nice with an amazing dinner and then ending the night at the top of the Eiffel tower. Also, wine is good, so I learned that. I will try and blog about all the bottles we have tried.

Headed to bed now. 2 more days in France and 2 more days in 2021. Oh yeah, I forgot, I bought Elza a boat and named it Elza. Love and Happiness to all! -Mike

PS Shout out to Chrissy McKenna who shamed me into writing this tonight as I almost just went to bed.
