Our Europe adventure ends today. It was amazing. I hope to take some time to recap all the adventures when I get back to Memphis. Yesterday was our final adventure and it was amazing. We went dog sledding. Truly one of the most incredible experiences of my life. (Yes even better than the breakfast buffet in Oslo). We took a 45 minute bus the location that is a golf course in the summer, spent 30 minutes getting ready (how to drive a sled, gearing up), then the next hour riding around untouched snow under the mountains, then ended with dog cuddles, snow wrestling, hot chocolate, and finally a drive back to Tromso.

Dog sledding was so much fun I forgot that the night before we went to see the Northern lights. We left the city (Tromso) at 7pm and our guide, “Northern Lights Chaser”, drove while talking on the phone to other guides about the best place to see the lights. It was cloudy at first so we were nervous that we would not see anything. He parked the minibus and we played in the snow while we waited. It was really cool to be out in the pitch black in the northern tip of Norway, looking up at the moon and stars. The northern lights were not what we expected. No huge bright green streaks across the sky (speaking of green streaks, GO BIRDS!). We really could not see anything there with the naked eye. It was cool to see the green in the pictures.

Recap next week. Go Birds! Go Grizz! Grateful to my dear wife and amazing kiddos all the love from friends and family. LOVE AND HAPPINESS TO ALL! -Mike
